Duck Hunting In Arkansas

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile!
@mathon.parker99 was generous enough to have us at his hunting camp in beautiful Arkansas. Being my first time to the south I am blown away to say the least. Hunting and fishing go hand in hand with the Mississippi River and the guys I have been hanging with are pros.
For this hunt we woke up at 5:15am and layered up for nippy 22° conditions. After a Polaris and mud boat ride, we made it to the hole and started positioning duck decoys. Shooting light was about 6:37 (30 minutes before official sunrise). A few groups of ducks circled with
@mathon.parker99 and @j_henley3 on the calls, but nothing wanted to land. Soon enough a mallard made a descent and cupped up allowing @gcarter114 and I to unload 2-3 shells each and down our first duck. Slow conditions after that but we were stoked with what we got. Fried duck coming next post.
